This BE@RBRICK collectible, created in collaboration with TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist., is part of the 2022 Pause≒Play series. Produced by MEDICOM TOY, it stands at the 1000% size, making it a substantial piece for collectors.
Wasn't sure about the monochrome colorway when I ordered, but in person the matte finish on the Pause≒Play design looks way sharper than photos suggest. Took me a solid ten minutes to find shelf space for something this big, and I'm already eyeing the 400% to pair with it.
The 1000% size is genuinely massive in person, way bigger than I pictured from photos. The half-pause, half-play face on the split design is such a clean concept that it works as a centerpiece on its own. Took a couple weeks to arrive but worth every day of the wait.
Didn't expect the pause/play split design to look this good in person, the black and white halves read almost like two figures sharing one body. Took me a minute to find shelf space for something this tall, but it's the centerpiece now.
