I picked this up mainly for the Waid and Rosanas story, and the anthology format focusing on one member per issue works better than I expected. The full-color pages look sharp, and Bagley's cover is a nice bonus even if I'm usually here for the interiors.
The Mark Bagley variant cover alone was worth picking this up, and the interior art by Ramon Rosanas holds up just as well. I've been reading Fantastic Four books for years and this first issue nails the family dynamic.
The full-color anthology format works better than I expected, and Rosanas' art gives the team a clean, classic feel. Waid's take on the escalating story kept me turning pages, though I wish the issue ran a bit longer.
