Didn't expect the X-Men to actually throw down with Godzilla, but the fight scenes in this issue are ridiculous in the best way. The paper stock feels thicker than the usual floppies too, so it'll hold up fine in a bag and board.
The cover art by Iban Coello is the main draw here, and it looks even sharper in person. The kaiju versus mutant matchup plays out better than I expected for a first issue.
I was honestly just here for the Iban Coello cover art, and it does not disappoint—the detail on Godzilla’s scales alone is worth the price. The story inside sets up an interesting clash with the X-Men, and I’m already itching for the next issue.
