DCon's mascot character had gone and gotten a "Japanime"-esque do-over, courtesy of @bigshotklim (for Ben @3dretro and Don @datadub), and sculpted by @bigshottoyworks, with a quartet of colorways previewed+released (in "a small super limited quantity") at DesignerCon 2019 itself!
Vincent comes in at about 6 inches tall and is articulated!
The clear blue vinyl catches light so well that I keep it on my desk facing the window. The Japanime-style redesign of the mascot is a fun shift from the original look, and the sofubi casting feels solid in hand without being heavy.
The sculpt on this little guy is way more detailed than I expected for the size. Sat him on my desk next to my monitor and he's already getting comments from coworkers. The Japanime-style redesign somehow works better in hand than in the promo shots.
The clear blue vinyl is so striking in person, catches the light just right on the shelf. That Japanime-inspired redesign really gives the little mascot a fun new attitude compared to the original.
