Decide if the Green Day Kerplunk Girl ReAction Wave 2 figure fits your shelf. We cover scale, accessory, pricing, and who should skip it.
Quick answer
Buy the Green Day Kerplunk Girl ReAction Wave 2 figure if you collect music reaction figures or Green Day memorabilia and want a display piece tied to the 1991 Kerplunk album art. Skip it if you need a larger-scale centerpiece or prefer figures with more than one accessory.
What the Kerplunk Girl figure actually is
This is a 3.75-inch scale ReAction figure inspired by the Kerplunk album cover artwork by Chris Applegren and Pat Hynes. It comes with a smoking gun accessory. That scale matches standard ReAction releases, so it will sit consistently with other Super7 ReAction figures on a shelf or in a case.
The figure is part of ReAction Wave 2, which matters if you are building a full Green Day set. Wave 2 pieces are typically produced in smaller runs than first-wave core characters, so availability can tighten over time. If you see it at the current catalog price of USD 17.75 against a USD 25.00 comparison price, that is a meaningful discount for a licensed music figure.
Where this figure fits and where it does not
The Kerplunk Girl is a niche character. It appeals most to Green Day fans who know the album art and to collectors who already own other music reaction figures. If you are new to ReAction and want a recognizable band member, this is not that figure. It is an art-based character, not a portrait of a band member.
Also consider the accessory count. One smoking gun is the only listed accessory. If you expect multiple hands, instruments, or a stand, this release does not include them. That is a trade-off worth accepting only if the album-art concept is the main draw.
Decision rules for buying the Kerplunk Girl figure
- If you are building a Green Day ReAction set: Buy it now while it is listed at USD 17.75 versus the USD 25.00 comparison price. Wave 2 figures are not always restocked, and skipping it can leave a gap in a band-focused display. Check whether you already own Wave 1 Green Day figures before ordering, so you do not duplicate a character.
- If you only want one music figure: Choose a more recognizable band-member figure instead. The Kerplunk Girl is an album-art character, so it works best as part of a Green Day or music-themed shelf rather than a standalone piece.
- If scale is your priority: Measure your shelf first. At 3.75 inches, this figure fits standard ReAction displays and most acrylic cases, but it will look small next to 6-inch or 12-inch figures. Keep scale consistent within a single shelf.
- If you expect play or multiple poses: Pass on this one. ReAction figures are collectibles with limited articulation, and this release lists only one accessory. If you want a poseable figure with instrument options, look for a different line.
