I wasn't expecting a pressure cooker to get me emotional, but the whole "two versions of ourselves" framing got me good. The inferno imagery for the worries that make the facade go up in flames is weirdly accurate for how my last few months have felt.
The burnout metaphor hit way harder than I expected, especially the line about the facade going up in flames. I've had this sitting in my library for a while and finally read it on a rough week — bad timing, or maybe perfect timing.
The pressure cooker angle in the title works surprisingly well as a concept, and the inferno imagery in the description really stuck with me. It's short, but the whole facade-burning-down idea lands hard.
