Deniz Camp writing the Ultimates was enough to get me on board, and issue #1 absolutely delivers on that promise. The story picks up right from the Ultimate Universe setup and the pacing never drags for a second. Frigeri's interior art pairs perfectly with it too.
The Stegman variant cover is what sold me, and it looks even better in hand than in the listing photos. Camp's script picks up right where Ultimate Universe #1 left off, and the pacing kept me hooked through the whole issue. Already preordered the next one.
Juan Frigeri's art on this one is the real draw for me, especially the way he handles the big team spread early on. Arrived bagged and boarded with no spine dings, which I appreciate since I actually plan to keep it raw. Camp's script moves fast without feeling rushed.
